JULES

Côtes de Provence Red

A quality red from the Jules range, this light and fruity AOC Côtes de Provence is the perfect expression of the red wines of the appellation.

Rocky and limy clay with southern exposure at 160 meters altitude.

2014 is an unusual vintage. After a relatively cold and rainy summer, disturbed by an episode of hail, a cool autumn slowed the maturation process, while an expressive vintage. It is characterized by nice, refined and aromatic wines.

80% Syrah, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Mechanically with yields of 40hl/ha.

Maceration for 15 days with regular pump-overs and temperature control between 28-30°C. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

Aged in tanks. After a light filtration, the wines are blended to be bottled.

Intense garnet-red color with violet reflects. Expressive nose of red fruits: cherry, blackberry and blackcurrant, on a bed of garrigue aromas (rockrose and thyme). The palate is structured with young tannins, crunchy and full of fruits. Final on pepper; a young fruity wine.

Barbecue, grilled chicken, lasagna, moussaka.
