LE GRAND CROS

L'Esprit de Provence Red

12,50

Our Esprit 2019 is a flattering, aromatic, exuberant wine. Worthy ambassador of the red wines of Provence, it offers a rich aromatic palette, and a supple texture in the mouth which make it a friendly wine, a wine from the South a wine that speaks of Provence!

The 2022 vintage began with a mild, dry winter for an early vegetative outburst. The beginning of spring was marked by white frosts which did great damage to the young shoots. Nevertheless, and despite rare spring rains, the vines developed correctly but slowly. The episode of stormy hail at the end of June, in addition to the wounds on the berries it caused, helped to overcome a hot and dry summer until August 16, when a saving rain allowed good development and a constant ripening of berries.

Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon.

Intense ruby color with hints of garnet. Very intense and complex nose with notes of ripe fruit (blueberry, blackcurrant). On the palate, the attack is round and supple. Sweet spice aromas harmoniously accompany fine and structured tannins. Notes of black fruits and a peppery and spicy touch complete a long and velvety mouthfeel. This 2019 is a generous and refined wine that can be enjoyed now by decanting it, or to be forgotten in the cellar for a few years.

Prime rib in a salt crust, braised lamb, mushroom-based dishes, tomato stew

ESPRIT DE PROVENCE

A fine vintage in the southern vineyards.

This wine is complete, combining the seduction of Syrah with the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Eye: intense black cherry. Nose: concentrated, graphite, undergrowth, blackcurrant, ripe red fruits, notes of pepper, menthol note, finesse. Palate: frank attack, amplitude and power with a nice plot of tight and solid tannins. Conclusion: a wine of high potential, built around Cabernet Sauvignon and which must absolutely wait; For the game. A very good success.

Darkly fragrant. Dry and spicy, fresh dry thyme blowing through toasty black fruit. A touch of vanilla. Good balance and good polish on those tannins.
